I know better than to do what I've been doing for the past year.

Thankfully, I have great friends who kick me in the rear as reminders to my need to back off and slow down. I'm so grateful to them for that.

I'm going back to what I know works for me. Yoga, meditation, physical exercise and a diet heavy on veggies, fruits, and nuts. I don't have time to be ill or burned out.

I'm so glad when I hear others have had to do this in their lives to make things work for them. I don't feel so left behind or slow because I must take this time for myself.

Thanks for your thoughts and your encouragement, Brooke.Claudette Younghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01323759000341863947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7777642193089695807.post-52010317951148849742012-07-03T12:03:51.475-06:002012-07-03T12:03:51.475-06:00It is so refreshing to hear that someone else purp...It is so refreshing to hear that someone else purposely schedules time everyday for moments of stillness, reflection, or simply silence. I schedule a half hour for myself every morning. I get up, make a cup of coffee, tend to the pups, then is sit in the recliner and watch the sun rise over the mountain from my living room window. That half hour a day is when all is quiet and my mind in able to sort through my things to do list for the day, prioritize, sort, shift, and settle on the day's true priorities while tossing out all the trash.

Thanks for sharing and for caring for yourself!

Have a fantastic Holiday and a great weekend.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06997687176867985114noreply@blogger.com
